Family Night: BBQ Chicken Pizza #Recipe {Keto Friendly}

Fall is officially here. When I think about fall, I think about apples, pumpkins, and gourds (oh my!). But also comfort food. You know; those go to dishes that warm your soul and your toes at the end of a long day. Those dishes that bring everyone to the table at the same time and actually eat the food with no complaints. The kind of recipes that end up in your family recipe book.

And that’s what this is. THIS is your new go to family night pizza.

I can’t take credit for this one though. It’s really my husbands creation. He brought it home from a pizza place for dinner one night. I just simply recreated it. Tested out what sauces worked, cooking times and temperatures, and all the little details, until I got it right.

Try it out for your next family pizza night and let me know what you think! Check out more delicious recopies HERE

BBQ Chicken Pizza Recipe:

The first thing you are going to need to do is gather your ingredients. This pizza only has 5 ingredients: dough, BBQ sauce, cooked cubed chicken, sliced red bell peppers, and shredded cheese. If you would like to make your own dough, check out this Keto 90 second bread version HERE from The Keto Momma, or a great 10 minute recipe from Martha Stewart HEREIf you would like to use a Keto friendly BBQ sauce, you can grab a bottle from Amazon HERE.  (affiliate)

Not Too Much Sauce

After you have gathered all of your ingredients, it’s time to assumable your pizza! Start with the crust. Shape it into a round pizza shape, and place it on a lightly greased pizza pan. Mines on a stone from Pampered Chef. I love their stone wear, but especially their pizza one.

Next you are going to add the BBQ sauce. I use about 5TBS. You can use less or a bit more. But not too much, because the pizza crust will not stand up to it. Learn from my mistake from recreation attempt 1.

Finally, add the cheese and sprinkle the peppers and chicken evenly on top. You will want the chicken and peppers on top simply because of their water content. If you put them under the cheese, you will probably end up with a soggy crust that won’t hold up.

Life Tip: When making pizza put delegate toppings like mushrooms and spinach under the cheese. The cheese will protect delegate toppings. Toppings with high water content on top of you cheese. The cheese will protect your crust from being soggy,

Bake this pizza in the center of your oven for about 20 minutes. You want the crust to be slightly brown, and the cheese to be melty (yep, made up a word there) and bubbly.

That’s it. All there is to it. Your next favourite 5 ingredient pizza in 5 easy steps.

    I have made this before and it is one of my favorites. We like to eat out, but it is nice to be able to make the same things at home and not have to eat out.

    This sounds and looks delish! My hubby’s usually the chef for our pizza nights, and this is right up his alley!
