We love cabbage rolls. They are something we love to eat during the colder months … I don’t know why. Maybe it helps warm us up on those cold winter nights.
The one thing I don’t like about cabbage rolls is the time it takes to prepare them. As a mom to 4 busy kids, I don’t have the time to roll individual cabbage rolls. So I converted my recipe into something quick and easy I could through into the oven (for the crock pot version see the recipe notes).
After I mastered the over version, I tried it in the crock pot… And it worked amazingly!
Another great thing about this recipe is that you can freeze the meat mixture, and then just add that and the cabbage to your crock pot in the morning. Saves so much time that day. Check the recipe notes for instructions on freezing to cook in the crock pot later.
