Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies – Only 3 Ingredients

If you haven’t guessed yet, cookies are one of my favourite foods. There’s something that just says home when you eat a homemade cookie.

But the thing about cookies is that they can have a lot of added sugars, and that’s not good for anyone.

These 3 ingredient oatmeal chocolate chip cookies have no eggs, flour, or butter.

These are the 3 ingredients for the oatmeal cookies.

These cookies could also be made into gluten-free. Just like my gluten-free oatmeal cookie recipe (HERE), you’d just use gluten-free oatmeal in the recipe. The sweetness comes from the bananas and chocolate chips. Becuase the bananas are mashed, no liquid is needed. The banana also acts as a binder. Which is why you don’t need eggs.

Just like traditionally made oatmeal cookies, this version is soft and chewy on the inside and firm around the edges. There is ton’s of banana flavour in this cookie and the oats add a nice chewy texture. It tastes just like banana bread but in cookie form!

For these easy oatmeal cookies, all you’ll need are 2 large banana’s, chocolate chips, and quick oats. And it’s even easier to put together.

Some Tips To Get The Perfect Cookie: 3 oatmeal cookies stacked up on a piece of burlap, with a glass of milk in the background.

  1. Use a light coloured baking sheet to avoid burning
  2. If your baking sheet is not non-stick, use parchment paper or a silicone mat. Buttering your sheet would add butter to the cookies.
  3. Mash the banana well. The more it’s mashed, the better your cookies will turn out. I use a potato masher to mash mine.

Great recipe. Great idea with only three ingredients. Really good for kids. I will surely try this recipe. Thanks for sharing.

These look good! I’m always a little scared to try healthier alternatives to desserts as those with no butter or eggs tend to be too dry for me. How are they when it comes to that? 😀 Thanks!

This is great! I have a vegan sister so this would be a good one to share with her (just have to make sure the chocolate has no milk in it either!). Do the cookies remain soft or do they harden up?
